They are making life-changing decisions.

Nearly 2,000 students at Ohio State University made a commitment to follow Jesus Christ during a large campus revival event this week, according to organizers. The event, held at The Schott sports arena, attracted more than 6,500 students. Despite freezing temperatures in the teens, attendees demonstrated their dedication, with students being baptized in U-Haul trucks parked outside the venue, as reported by CBN News.

Unite US founder, Tonya Prewett, shared her amazement on social media, reflecting on the spiritual momentum seen on college campuses. She expressed gratitude for how God has been moving at Ohio State over the past year and noted the powerful response from students during the revival, where nearly 2,000 people came forward during an altar call. “God is moving in this generation, and we know that He’s just getting started!” Prewett wrote.

Pastor Matt Brown also commented on the spontaneous baptisms that occurred during the event, despite the cold temperatures. Students who responded to the gospel were eager to get baptized, undeterred by the weather conditions, as baptisms took place in the backs of U-Haul trucks.

The Unite US movement, which began outreach efforts in September 2023, has since engaged over 70,000 students across various campuses, offering them the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the Gospel. This revival at Ohio State marks the second large-scale event organized by Unite US in 2024, following a similar gathering at the University of Kentucky just the previous week.

In August 2024, another revival at Ohio State attracted attention, with members of the university’s football team participating. Around 60 individuals were baptized, and testimonies from notable players, including receiver Emeka Egbuka and running back TreVeyon Henderson, highlighted the event’s impact. The OSU student newspaper reported that between 800 and 1,000 people attended, with some estimates going as high as 2,000. A faculty member described the spontaneous baptisms and the overwhelming sense of the Spirit moving among the attendees as unlike anything they had ever experienced before.
