It’s his dream meeting.
Paul Rudd, known for his roles in “Ant-Man” and “Clueless,” recently expressed a surprising choice if given the chance to meet anyone from history: Jesus Christ. Despite being Jewish and not considering himself particularly religious, Rudd shared his admiration for Jesus during a promotional interview for the film “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” with IGV Presents.
In the interview, Rudd declared, amidst some laughter from his co-stars Mckenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard, that he would choose Jesus if he could converse with anyone from history. Defending his choice, Rudd emphasized Jesus’s historical existence and the curiosity he holds about such a significant figure. He challenged any perception that it might be controversial to express such a desire, asserting that Jesus would be his ultimate pick for a conversation partner.
Rudd, who shares a family with his wife Julie Yaeger and has spoken previously about his Jewish heritage, described his familial identity as deeply rooted in Judaism. Despite not actively practicing religion, Rudd has acknowledged his Jewish upbringing and its cultural significance in his life.
Reflecting on personal matters, Rudd has also opened up about his father’s influence and their discussions on spirituality before his father’s passing. In one poignant moment, Rudd pondered what his father might be experiencing in the afterlife, imagining conversations about meeting deceased relatives and discovering the mysteries beyond.
Overall, Rudd’s remarks highlight his personal journey of identity and curiosity about faith and history, demonstrating his introspective approach to both his career and personal beliefs.
