He deserved what happened to him.

Roc Byrd, a chiropractor from Indiana who identified himself as a “Christian chiropractor,” is facing serious criminal charges after multiple former clients accused him of rape and sexual assault. Byrd, 61, worked at Cornerstone Chiropractic in Avon and is now confronted with one count of rape, five counts of sexual battery, and four counts of misdemeanor battery.

The allegations against Byrd include incidents of rape, inappropriate touching during appointments without consent, and pressing his genitals against multiple patients. Notably, Byrd initiated each appointment with prayer, integrating his Christian faith into his practice.

Byrd’s legal troubles began when he was charged with rape in September, stemming from an incident in November 2022 where he allegedly violated a female patient’s consent. Media coverage of this charge prompted additional former clients to come forward with similar allegations of misconduct during their sessions.

Victims described a gradual realization of the violation they experienced and the emotional turmoil that followed, particularly as Byrd presented himself as a Christian practitioner. Despite ongoing police investigation and initial charges, new allegations continued to surface, some even occurring after Byrd became aware of the investigation.

Legal action has been taken, with one victim filing a lawsuit against Byrd and Cornerstone Chiropractic in December. Byrd has been released on bond since posting bail in October and is awaiting further legal proceedings, with a pretrial conference scheduled for April 25. These developments mark a critical phase in seeking justice for the victims and holding Byrd accountable for his actions.
