They were invited for a visit.
Two months after winning their first national title, the Colorado Christian University (CCU) men’s golf team visited the White House. The team members, including Head Coach Mark Hull, Assistant Coach Stan Sayers, and players Adam Duncan, Dylan Arthur, Peyton Jones, and Cameron Sandland, were part of the delegation.
During their visit, the CCU golf team joined other collegiate athletic champions for a tour of the White House and a celebration on the south lawn, hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris. Coach Hull expressed his amazement at the warm reception they received, with the White House staff recognizing and addressing them by name, which made the experience particularly special.
Team member Dylan Arthur described the visit as incredible, highlighting their treatment as valued guests and champions. The team enjoyed a tour of the White House, viewed the Oval Office, played games on the south lawn, and listened to live music from the Marine Corps band. Arthur and his teammates felt honored and thrilled by the surreal experience.
Adam Duncan expressed his hope that this visit would not be their last, suggesting that future victories might lead to more White House invitations. He appreciated the opportunity to interact with White House staff, military personnel, and the Secret Service, calling the experience a great privilege. Peyton Jones also shared his excitement, describing the visit as a dream come true.
