He is calling for justice.

American missionaries Davy and Natalie Lloyd, tragically killed by gang violence in Haiti, are soon to be repatriated to the United States. Former President Donald Trump expressed his condolences to the family of Missouri state Rep. Ben Baker, Natalie’s father.

Announcing the arrangements, family spokesperson Cassidy Anderson emphasized the security measures in place for the transportation of the remains. Information regarding the timeline, airline, and airports involved will not be disclosed to safeguard the family’s privacy during this difficult time. Media presence at the flight touchdown will also be restricted for the same reason.

Baker took to Facebook to share his conversation with Trump, who expressed his sympathy and concern for the family’s loss. Trump conveyed his shock at the tragedy and his desire for justice to be served for the perpetrators. He praised the dedication of Davy and Natalie to their mission in Haiti, noting their remarkable character and compassion.

Anderson later confirmed that Trump had spoken with the family for nearly 10 minutes, further demonstrating his support during their grief.

Davy, 23, and Natalie, 21, dedicated themselves to the work of Missions in Haiti, an organization founded by Davy’s parents. The attack occurred as they were leaving church in Port-au-Prince, ambushed by armed assailants in multiple trucks. The ministry’s statement detailed the harrowing ordeal, including Davy being beaten and their compound being ransacked.

Amid the chaos, the missionaries sought refuge in a house on the property, only to face further violence from the gangs. Tragically, the situation escalated, resulting in the loss of Davy, Natalie, and Jude Montis, a Haitian director associated with the organization.

The senseless violence perpetrated against the Lloyd family reflects the dangers faced by those committed to humanitarian work in unstable regions. Despite the tragedy, the Lloyds’ dedication to their mission remains a testament to their unwavering compassion and faith.
