From darkness to triumph.

When Forrest Frank wrote his hit song “Good Day,” celebrating life’s blessings and God’s constant presence, he had no idea how relevant the message would soon become for him personally. Just days after its release, Frank faced a significant personal challenge, the toughest of his life. Someone wronged him and took something irreplaceable, forcing him to live out the message of his own song. He relied on his faith, putting his trust in God’s promise of peace, not necessarily a “good day.” Frank shared how surrendering his anxieties to Jesus helped him cope, saying he witnessed the truth of Scripture firsthand.

Frank, who started his music career in 2017 as part of the surf-pop duo Surfaces, has seen tremendous success in recent years. He was named New Artist of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards, and his song “Good Day” won Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year. Reflecting on the accolades, Frank humbly stated that all his work is for the Lord, acknowledging that if his career were to end tomorrow, he would be content as long as it brought glory to Jesus.

Interestingly, “Good Day” almost didn’t make it to the public. Initially, after sharing it with a friend, he received negative feedback. However, after encouragement from his close circle, Frank released the track, and it quickly went viral, especially on TikTok. Despite his rapid rise in the Christian music scene, Frank is still surprised by the response, attributing all success to God’s guidance. For him, the true measure of success lies in using his music to glorify God and share the Gospel.

Frank is committed to theological accuracy in his music, paying close attention to his lyrics to ensure they align with biblical truth. He believes that if he feels the presence of the Holy Spirit in his songs, others will connect with God through them as well. As he looks ahead, Frank is excited to continue creating music that points the next generation to Jesus. He has no plans to return to secular music, as he finds deep fulfillment in worshiping through Christian music.
