This is perfect for Christmas.

In the ever-evolving landscape of Hollywood, faith-driven films have continued to captivate audiences, consistently surpassing the expectations of critics and box office projections.

The momentum began early in the year with the resounding success of “Jesus Revolution,” which achieved a remarkable milestone, crossing the $50 million mark at the box office. Following this triumph was the Angel Studio-produced “Sound of Freedom,” which clinched the coveted No. 1 spot during its July 4th release, further solidifying the trend of faith-centric films gaining traction.

More recently, “After Death” emerged as a groundbreaking documentary, becoming the highest-grossing faith-based documentary since 2019 and attracting widespread attention. As the Christmas season unfolds, numerous faith-inspired movies are making their way onto theaters and streaming platforms. “My Christmas Hero,” debuted on Great American Family post-Thanksgiving, offering a poignant narrative centered on faith, liberty, and the enchantment of the Christmas season.

Notably, Candace Cameron Bure not only stars in the movie but also holds the role of executive producer. The storyline revolves around U.S. Army reservist and orthopedic physician, Nicole Ramsey (played by Bure), dedicated to serving military personnel and their families at the Joint Military Base in Lacey, Washington. The narrative follows Dr. Ramsey’s quest to honor a fallen soldier and bring healing to her own family during the festive season.

The premiere of “My Christmas Hero” held exclusively for U.S. service members and their families at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington state, where the movie is set, was hosted by Bure and Great American Family President and CEO Bill Abbott.

Adding to the Christmas lineup, NBCUniversal is set to stream “The Prince of Egypt: The Musical” on Dec 5. The production, filmed live at London’s Dominion Theatre, brings to life the compelling biblical story of Moses through breathtaking stage performances and the captivating music of multi-Grammy and Academy Award-winning Stephen Schwartz. Featuring a cast and orchestra of 60 performers, the musical promises a grand and immersive experience, based on the classic DreamWorks Animation.

Further enriching the festive offerings, Fathom Events collaborates with Dallas Jenkins and “The Chosen” to present “Christmas With The Chosen: Holy Night” in theaters from Dec. 12–17. This feature merges Jenkins’ pilot episode of “The Chosen” with the 2021 Christmas special “The Messengers,” offering an emotionally resonant portrayal of the Jesus story.

“Jingle Smells,” a Christmas comedy executive produced by Logan Sekulow and Sean Hannity, premiered exclusively on Rumble in November, marking a significant arrival as the first non-documentary feature film on the platform. The movie revolves around war veteran Nick Gutman, who assumes the secret identity of ‘Jingle Smells,’ becoming a holiday hero by rescuing toys deemed controversial and cancelled due to their patriotic associations.

Additionally, Sight & Sound will bring their production “Miracle of Christmas” into homes worldwide in the first week of December. Known for their immersive theatrical experiences, Sight & Sound’s movie adaptation portrays the birth of Jesus, encompassing three-story tall sets, live animals, and a cast of 50 professional actors, effectively retelling the journey of Mary and Joseph from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sight & Sound launched Sight & Sound TV, a streaming service allowing audiences from over 100 countries to witness their live performances, aiming to share these timeless narratives with a global audience.
