Millions Receive The Gospel As Ministry Fights Rising Secularism

The Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is working to spread the Gospel to millions of children globally this Christmas season through its Christmas Party Club campaign. With the goal of reaching over 12 million children, CEF encourages churches and community leaders to host these clubs, which aim to share the true meaning of Christmas and the love of Jesus. Established in 1937, CEF has a long history of equipping Christians to minister to children and guide them in their faith.

In a world where younger generations are showing declining religious engagement, CEF is focusing on creating opportunities for children to learn about the Gospel. This year, CEF hopes to train 348,000 volunteers and run 367,000 Christmas Party Clubs, aiming to teach children about the holiday’s real significance. Activities at the clubs include Bible lessons, Scripture memorization, games, and songs. One key lesson is “Light of Life,” which teaches about the light that announced Jesus’ birth and encourages children to share the Gospel with their families.

CEF’s work extends to areas where Christians face persecution. Volunteers in these countries receive training from CEF staff, ensuring they are equipped to lead the clubs. CEF emphasizes the importance of prayer in its mission, particularly in regions where it is dangerous to be a Christian. The organization also runs a global prayer initiative, the 50 Days of Prayer, which started in November to support its efforts.

In 2023, CEF saw substantial growth, holding 295,000 clubs that reached 9.1 million children, up from 169,000 clubs and 6.2 million children in 2022. The organization also trained over 277,000 volunteers through 12,900 seminars. CEF’s financial support comes from generous donors, with one donor contributing more than $500,000 last year to fund the distribution of free materials, which typically cost the organization over $1 million.

Through these efforts, CEF seeks to offer children not just material gifts but the gift of eternal love through Christ. The organization believes in the profound value of a child’s eternal destiny and works tirelessly to ensure that children everywhere can experience the message of hope and love that Christmas represents.
