He has fallen further than we thought.

Founder of the International House of Prayer Kansas City (IHOPKC), Mike Bickle, has admitted to “consensual sexual contact” with a woman associated with the ministry, as disclosed in an independent investigation led by Rosalee McNamara. The report, released to the public, concludes that Bickle likely engaged in sexual misconduct based on credible evidence and his own acknowledgments from over twenty years ago.

In response to the report, Bickle, who previously confessed to “inappropriate behavior,” admitted to the consensual contact with the second woman and inappropriate interactions with another individual connected to IHOP in 2002-2003. IHOPKC formally severed ties with Bickle in December 2023 upon learning of the allegations, emphasizing a commitment to organizational changes and improvements to prevent such incidents in the future.

While McNamara interviewed several women identified as victims by an advocate group, the primary Jane Doe did not participate, and the group questioned the investigation’s independence. Women mischaracterized as Jane Doe victims defended Bickle, describing him as eccentric with childlike innocence. McNamara found these women credible and cooperative during interviews.

The primary Jane Doe accused Bickle of making inappropriate prophecies, including predicting his wife’s death and suggesting marriage. Bickle confessed to these statements, expressing regret. IHOPKC spokesperson Eric Volz announced plans to communicate with the advocate group for the formation of an independent commission of respected leaders to evaluate the matter further. With the McNamara investigation concluded, Volz announced the end of his crisis management services to IHOPKC.
