Transformation Worship, hailing from Transformation Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has made a significant impact with their music. Building on this momentum, their second album, Dominion, released on July 12, also achieved remarkable success. It reached No. 1 on the Top Gospel Albums chart and came in at No. 2 on the Top Christian Albums chart, selling 5,000 units in its debut week. The album includes tracks such as “Dominion,” “Look at My Fruit,” and “Yours,” and is noted for its uplifting and empowering messages that promote resilience. The group’s rise began with their single “Overflow,” which gained widespread attention after being featured at the 2022 V02 Conference at Transformation Church. Under the guidance of Pastor Michael Todd, who has overseen the church’s music ministry since 2010, Transformation Worship has aimed for a global reach with their worship.
In another notable development, Elevation Worship from Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, achieved a significant milestone with their album When Wind Meets Fire, released on July 12. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart and accumulated 8,000 equivalent album units in its first week. This album, recorded live over two sessions in May 2023 and March 2024, marks Elevation Worship’s eighth No. 1 album on this chart, continuing their record for the most top positions. Chris Brown, the leader of Elevation Worship, expressed his appreciation for the album’s success and its potential to help people connect with God. The group’s previous notable works include the Grammy-winning album Old Church Basement and their first chart-topping album, Nothing Is Wasted. Additionally, their song “Praise,” featuring Brandon Lake, Chris Brown, and Chandler Moore, has recently topped Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart in its 42nd week.
