He does not deserve to be a pastor.
In October of the previous year, Samuel Pasillas, a 47-year-old pastor residing in Victorville, California, found himself embroiled in legal troubles when authorities arrested him on charges stemming from an alleged murder-for-hire scheme targeting his daughter’s boyfriend. Pasillas, known for his role as a leader at the Centro Internacional de Oracion, is facing serious allegations including solicitation for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon.
The series of events leading to Pasillas’ arrest unfolded after the Riverside Police Department responded to an urgent call from a local hospital on October 21, 2023. A man had arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds, claiming he was attacked while driving in Riverside’s Orangecrest neighborhood. Further investigation revealed claims that Pasillas had allegedly paid individuals around $40,000 to carry out the assault.
As detectives dug deeper into the case, they uncovered evidence linking Pasillas to the individuals purportedly hired for the attack. It was alleged that these individuals had conducted surveillance on the victim before ambushing him along Grove Community Drive. Consequently, Pasillas and Juan Manuel Cebreros, aged 55 and hailing from Long Beach, were apprehended and charged in connection with the crime.
During court proceedings, Pasillas pleaded not guilty to all charges, as indicated by records from the Riverside County Superior Court. Cebreros, on the other hand, faces charges related to conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon. Both suspects are currently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center, with bail set at $1 million each.
The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement actively pursuing Jesus Abel Felix Garcia, another individual allegedly involved in the plot. The Riverside Police Department is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
