News Anchor Raises Alarm On Mistreatment Of Christians
Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host, has voiced alarm over the treatment of Christians in Canada by state authorities, accusing some of hiding behind the pretext of “public safety” to engage in what he describes as “hard-edge fascism.” In speeches delivered in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Carlson criticized Canadian political leaders, with a particular focus on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whom he referred to as a “weird, cross-dressing prime minister.”
Addressing a sizable audience in Calgary, Carlson expressed his personal connection to Canadians through his ancestors in Nova Scotia but criticized the political leadership for what he perceives as authoritarian tendencies. He urged the audience to recognize that the challenges go beyond a simple political debate, emphasizing the erosion of culture and beliefs.
Carlson pointed to various policies, including drug decriminalization in British Columbia, laws supporting trans identities for children, and the rise in government-funded euthanasia, as evidence of authorities showing contempt for the well-being of the population. He argued that those in power are not working to assist but rather to harm citizens, particularly targeting their children and attempting to control the population.
Speaking as a Christian, Carlson highlighted the peaceful nature of Christians and their commitment to turning the other cheek. He criticized actions taken against Christians, such as the burning and vandalizing of churches, referencing the 96 Canadian churches affected. He questioned the motives of those endorsing such actions, suggesting there might be ulterior motives.
Carlson also brought attention to the imprisonment of Christian pastors during COVID-19 lockdowns, specifically mentioning Pastor James Coates, Pastor Tim Stephens, and Pastor Artur Pawlowski. He expressed concern about authorities imprisoning preachers for sharing the Christian Gospel while advocating what he termed as “increased lawlessness.”
In his critique, Carlson dismissed the notion of “public safety” as a euphemism for what he labeled as “hard-edge fascism,” highlighting the dangers associated with restricting religious freedoms and incarcerating individuals for expressing their faith. The former news host urged the audience to contemplate the broader implications of such actions by authorities.
