He’s making a shocking claim.

Televangelist Kenneth Copeland recently shared with his congregation that he underwent a 10-day hospital stay following a ruptured appendix but has since recovered well. Speaking at Eagle Mountain International Church in Newark, Texas, which he founded in 1986, the 88-year-old televangelist said the experience was his first extended hospital stay. Copeland, known for his lavish lifestyle and use of private jets, credited his faith and humor for helping him remain positive during the ordeal.

Copeland explained how humor played a crucial role in maintaining his spirits during his hospitalization. Recalling a conversation with his surgeon before his appendectomy, he lightheartedly compared the procedure to a haircut, eliciting laughter from medical staff. This approach, he said, helped him avoid feelings of depression and stay grounded in his faith throughout the challenging time. Copeland expressed gratitude for the success of his surgery, attributing it to prayer and his trust in “ministering spirits” to guide the medical team.

The televangelist also reaffirmed his confidence in living to the age of 120, based on a covenant he said he made with God. Copeland predicted he would live until 2056 and likened his recovery to restoring an old car, stating that his 88-year-old body had been “overhauled” and made stronger. He emphasized his gratitude for his renewed health and his commitment to fulfilling God’s purpose for his life in the years ahead.

Looking forward, Copeland shared his themes and predictions for upcoming years, extending his plans through 2029. For instance, he declared 2024 a year of victory, 2025 a year when the nation would “come alive,” and 2026 as “the big fix.” He also offered insights into political and natural events, predicting heightened political opposition in 2025 and less severe storms compared to recent years. He encouraged his congregation to remain vigilant and intentional about their lives and faith, urging them to plan for their future with prayer and dedication.

In closing, Copeland emphasized the importance of living purposefully and taking spiritual matters seriously. He challenged his followers to reflect on their roles and decisions in life, urging them to align with God’s will and approach their spiritual journeys with joy and determination.
