Revival Event Draws Hundreds And Sparks Dozens Of Baptisms

Last weekend, Ohio State University held a revival event on its campus, attracting a large number of students and football players who shared their faith. The gathering took place outside the Curl Market and was coordinated by various Christian student groups. Notable football players such as Emeka Egbuka, TreVeyon Henderson, J.T. Tuimoloau, and Kamryn Babb led the worship and shared personal testimonies, drawing considerable attention.

During the event, approximately 60 students were baptized, with estimates of the total attendance ranging between 800 and 2,000. An OSU faculty member involved described the event as profoundly moving, emphasizing that the focus was entirely on Jesus and the personal experiences of the football players.

An “altar call” was part of the event, where attendees were invited to be baptized in water-filled tubs, commonly used for ice baths. The spontaneous baptisms, often performed by the football players, created a distinct and powerful spiritual atmosphere.

Following the baptisms, the contact details of the participants were collected and shared with the Christian student groups for future engagement. The organizers ensured that attendees had a clear understanding of the Gospel before their baptism and provided additional resources on discipleship.

Kamryn Babb reflected on the event, attributing the high turnout to a universal quest for hope, which he believes is found in Jesus. He felt honored to be part of the event and highlighted that the primary focus was on glorifying Christ, rather than on the football team or other aspects.
