Nearly 5,000 Churches Unite To Share The Gospel

The Luis Palau Association has united with over 4,900 churches across various denominations to conduct the Love Zambia Festival, a nationwide evangelistic campaign that reached approximately 731,000 individuals across five cities. This extensive initiative trained tens of thousands of Christians and culminated in a three-day festival in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, aimed at spreading the message of Jesus Christ.

The campaign, which lasted five months, involved a range of outreach activities, including visits to local prisons, medical and eyeglass clinics, women’s events, sports clinics, and school programs. One notable event took place at the Mwembeshi Correctional Facility, where Luis Palau shared the Gospel with 1,600 inmates, resulting in 1,098 individuals making commitments to follow Christ. Palau described the inmates as engaged and receptive, highlighting the joy and enthusiasm they showed during the sessions.

The festival itself, held at the National Heroes Stadium from September 13-15, attracted more than 374,900 attendees, leading to over 154,600 people committing their lives to Jesus. The event featured performances from well-known artists and included a variety of family-friendly activities, such as a children’s area with carnival rides and a special Gospel program. Andrew Palau also delivered nightly messages from the main stage, encouraging attendees to dedicate their lives to Christ, while trained local believers provided support and counseling to the new converts.

Beyond the main events in Lusaka, the Palau Association invited over 60 partner evangelists from 11 countries to assist in spreading the Gospel across surrounding areas. Additional evangelistic festivals and gatherings were held in Kalulushi, Mufulira, Chingola, and Ndola, further extending the campaign’s reach. These efforts resulted in an additional 356,534 people being engaged, with 66,070 making commitments to follow Christ.

In addition to on-the-ground outreach, the campaign employed a digital strategy to share the Gospel via targeted social media ads, reaching over 100,000 people, with 20,000 indicating decisions to follow Jesus. Overall, the organizers estimated that more than 731,000 individuals were impacted, with over 240,000 expressing a commitment to Christ. The Palau Association plans to continue its mission with similar initiatives in cities around the world, including upcoming events in Argentina, China, and the Dominican Republic.
