Gospel Song Soars To Top Of The Charts
Tim Bowman Jr. and Faith City Music have achieved a significant milestone with their song “Nobody But God” reaching the number one spot on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart. This marks Bowman Jr.’s third time at the top of the chart and the second for Faith City Music. The song saw an 8% increase in plays from late June to early July, reflecting its growing popularity among radio listeners.
In an interview with Billboard, Bowman Jr. expressed deep gratitude for the support, describing it as overwhelming. He co-wrote “Nobody But God” with Demi Borders and Joshua Davis, and co-produced it with Pjay Edmund. Previously, Bowman Jr. had topped the Gospel Airplay chart with “Jesus” in collaboration with Faith City Music and Le’Andria Johnson in June 2023, and “I’m Good” in February 2016.
The success of “Nobody But God” is part of their album “Welcome to Faith City,” which peaked at number four on the Top Gospel Albums chart in November 2022. Bowman Jr. shared his excitement on Instagram, thanking everyone for the achievement and attributing it all to God.
Reflecting on his journey into full-time ministry, Bowman Jr. shared that he grew up in the industry and received his first stellar nomination at 12 years old. However, it was at 16, while working at his local church, that he felt a deeper calling to sing Gospel music. He emphasized his faith journey, highlighting how his relationship with God has guided him, opened unexpected doors, and expanded his ministry beyond music to speaking engagements on topics like celibacy and Biblical values.
Tim Bowman Jr.’s consistent success in Gospel music not only showcases his musical talent but also his dedication to spreading the Gospel message. His latest achievement with “Nobody But God” underscores the impact of faith-driven music and its ability to resonate with listeners across different platforms.
