Destiny Christian Church, a significant congregation in California, is preparing for a heartwarming event aiming to benefit over 2,000 individuals from local families in need during the upcoming weekend—a true celebration of Christmas spirit. Hosted at the extensive Destiny Community Center, spanning 64,000 square feet and housing multiple campuses in Rocklin and Sacramento, the annual Love Our City Christmas event is anticipated to be a joyous affair.
Amidst the festive setting embellished with wintry decorations, the event promises a special Christmas experience for the children. Each child is slated to receive a generous assortment comprising toys, shoes, clothing, jackets, and a delightful family-oriented book. Adding to the excitement, Santa Claus himself will be present, ready to capture memorable moments in photographs with the children. Attendees can also relish hot chocolate and partake in various games arranged for the occasion.
Destiny Church’s spokesperson, Tanner DiBella, shared that this heartwarming initiative has been a tradition since 2013, driven by the earnest desire to extend blessings to the community, especially those grappling with unmet needs during the holiday season.
DiBella elaborated, “The holiday season often magnifies the practical needs that remain unfulfilled for many underserved families—needs such as food, clothing, and security. Destiny’s Christmas outreach endeavors to bridge these gaps, offering not just material support but also a memorable Christmas experience filled with joy, gifts, Santa’s presence, and an atmosphere of happiness for everyone involved.”
This year, Destiny Church has expanded its space to accommodate more families, ensuring that the Love Our City Christmas event touches the lives of as many individuals as possible. They’ve introduced a “Storyland” area where children can select books to take home, adding another layer of joy and lasting value to the event.
